Candlelight Yoga & Restore: In this later night Yoga class we will do more of a steady meditative form of Yoga that allows you to focus on your breath while releasing tension in your body.  It is a restful practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. 

The focus is on the release of the grip of muscular and mind-body tension and bringing the nervous system into balance.  This type of Yoga is incredibly supportive for our nervous system and overall stress levels. This practice can also help us strengthen our connection with the Parasympathetic Nervous System.  

The Parasympathetic Nervous System is a branch of our Autonomic Nervous System, the system that controls involuntary functions in the body like our heart rate. When we are in states of stress, or what is often termed “fight or flight,” we are in an elevated Sympathetic state. In contrast, during periods of rest, relax and recovery, we are in an elevated Parasympathetic state.

By regularly practicing at Yoga class, it can help us reconnect with our Parasympathetic Nervous System and strengthen our ability to move between states of stress and rest with more ease. By helping us learn to relax, restorative yoga can also reduce the production of stress hormones (cortisol and adrenaline), improve the function of our immune system, reduce muscle tension, help with insomnia, and so many other vital benefits.

Vinyasa Flow: Come and join us in a flow, as we link asanas
(postures) and pranayama (breath work). In this class we fluidly
coordinate the breath and body in a vigorous moving meditation. This
class is suitable for all, as modifications will be provided as well as
advancements. We will incorporate focus, strength, cardio, flexibly,
balance, physical and mental stamina in this beautifully synchronized
class.

Gentle Yoga Flow (Fridays @ 10:00am – 11:00am)

Gentle Yoga Flow: In this class we will take time with transitions holding most
asanas (postures) for a few or more breaths. We will also be
incorporating various props such as blankets, bolsters, blocks and straps
to deepen, and feel differently into the poses. Feel free to bring your
own props, or we also have ample at the studio. This gentle moving
meditation is suitable for all, especially those that want a slower pace or
ones that would like to dive deep into flexibility, calm and recovery.
